On Tuesday (3 Dec), two cars were involved in a collision at the junction of Kallang Avenue and Kallang Bahru. The accident bore two casualties, one of which was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Footage of the collision, recorded from a passing car’s dashcam, has since been uploaded to Facebook.
Based on the surrounding traffic lights, the black car involved in the accident appeared to have beaten the red light.
As a result, the white car turning in collided with the side of the black car. The white car’s front panel was flung out on impact.
A pedestrian, who was crossing the road at that time, narrowly missed the collision. She hurriedly sought safety at the road divider as bits of debris from the crash flew by.
As the dashcam car drove by, the aftermath of the accident could be seen in full view.
The front of the white car looked badly damaged from the collision. Additionally, the passenger’s door of the black car appeared crushed.
In response to MS News‘ queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that they were alerted to the Kallang accident at around 10.20am.
They subsequently conveyed one person to Raffles Hospital for treatment.
In addition, another person was also assessed by an SCDF paramedic for injuries. However, the said person declined to be sent to the hospital.
MS News has reached out to the Singapore Police Force (SPF) for more information.
