The victim was then rushed to the hospital, where she was eventually pronounced dead.

Around three hours later, a South Korean man in his 30s was arrested at Haneda Airport in connection with the murder.

He was found with blood on his clothing.

Man assaulted the woman a few days prior

According to Yonhap News, the woman had sought help from Japanese authorities last month, saying that the man had assaulted her.

On 29 Aug, she said her boyfriend, who had flown from South Korea to Japan, attacked her after she tried to break up with him.

The following day, police visited the woman’s home and warned the man to leave her alone.

The man informed police that he would go sightseeing in Osaka before returning to South Korea, according to Yomiuri Shimbun.

However, he still returned to the woman’s house.

Police officers then accompanied the man to Narita Airport, where he went through security.

Now detained by police, the man is exercising his right to remain silent as the investigation continues.
