King Arthur All-Purpose Flour Products Recalled By S’pore Food Agency

For those who love baking, the King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour should not be a stranger to you.

Well, if you’ve been cooking hand-in-hand with this flour brand, then it may be time of think of other alternatives, for the time being at least.

According to Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour sacks have been recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.

E. coli O26 bacteria found

SFA mentioned that the flour sacks are being recalled due to the potential presence of E. coli O26 bacteria.

For those who don’t know, E. coli is short for Escherichia coli which is a bacteria that causes illnesses ranging from diarrhea to vomiting.

2 batches affected

According to the media release, 2 batches of the flour are being recalled:

  • L18A13C (best used by 13 Dec 2019)
  • A19A02C (best used by 2 Jan 2020)

You can check the flour’s batch code at the back of the packaging.
