An entrepreneurial individual has hopped on the Labubu trend in Singapore through an online shop now selling ‘NRICs’ for the dolls.
The pink identity cards are miniature versions of the one every Singaporean has, with similarities in colour and format.
However, instead of saying ‘Republic of Singapore’ on the top left corner, the cards proudly state ‘Republic of Labubu’.
The brand Lalunarpops has taken to social media to promote its products, where a TikTok video of the accessories has garnered close to 2,000 shares at the time of writing.
Based on the information provided, the ‘NRICs’ are intended to be keychains that Labubu owners can attach to their beloved dolls.
“Treat your Labubu well, get them an IC now,” reads the caption of the TikTok post.
MS News understands that there are two versions of ICs available for the ‘Exciting Macaron’ and ‘Have A Seat’ series.
Customers can also choose the colourway that matches their Labubu at no extra cost. This choice will then be reflected in the photo on the IC.
However, the store is charging an additional S$1 should customers decide to go a step further and customise the name on the card.
The Labubu accessories start from S$6.90 each excluding delivery.
