Our bus captains work diligently through weekends and public holidays to ensure that people can get to their destinations no matter the occasion.
One regular passenger decided to thank these bus captains for their hard work.
A bus captain was getting some soya drinks at Lao Ban Soya Beancurd in Serangoon Bus Interchange when he saw an unusual sight, to say the least.
A lady in while had bought a whopping 30 portions of beancurd for all the bus captains at the interchange.
As he was ordering his drinks, she said she’d pay for that too.
The bus captain was touched and shared about the incident on Facebook.
On Wednesday (21 Apr), Mr Ng, a bus captain, was getting some soya drinks at Lao Ban around 9.30am when he came across the lady in white.
When he was waiting to order his drinks, the lady told the auntie manning the Lao Ban store that she’d pay for the soya drinks too.

Surprised, Mr Ng asked the lady if she is a staff with SBS Transit.
She replied that she was merely a regular passenger of bus 315.
While she didn’t state a concrete reason, the lady said she wished to thank and show her appreciation to all the bus captains, hence her gesture.
The thought of receiving this gesture immensely touched Mr Ng.
He professed that he “just can’t thank her enough” and wished to show his appreciation through social media as well.
We know that every bus captain, be it Mr Ng or the others who received the beancurd, will have been similarly touched.
For the bus captains who serve passengers daily, often enduring long hours during shifts, we salute your tirelessness.
Kudos to the lady for her gesture. Know that you’ve probably put a smile on many faces today.
