Last week, Li Huanwu, grandson of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew became the talk of the town after news broke that he had married his partner Heng Yirui in South Africa.
Turns out, the joyous occasion wasn’t just shared between the two of them.
Dear Straight People shared a picture on their Facebook page on Tuesday (28 May), showing the newlyweds surrounded by their family members.
On the right side of the picture were members of Huanwu’s immediate family, including his parents, Mr Lee Hsien Yang and Ms Lee Suet Fern, as well as his brothers, Shengwu and Shaowu.
Pretty much the entire family was present, save for a prominent uncle, who happened to be at the preview of a Singapore Bicentennial exhibition miles away.
On the other side of the picture were folks from Yirui’s family. Though less known publically, they appear to be equally supportive of the pair’s union.
We are truly heartened by the immense support given to the newly-wed couple from both sides of their families.
Congratulations once again from all of us at MS News. We wish Huanwu and Yirui a blissful and loving marriage ahead.
