BMW & truck involved in collision at Lim Chu Kang, toys spill onto road

BMW & truck collide in Lim Chu Kang, 1 person injured

An accident between a BMW car and a truck occurred in Lim Chu Kang.

A Facebook post showed the aftermath of the accident and alleged that the incident happened on 15 Nov.

However, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told MS News that it occurred on 13 Nov at around 6.35pm near 100 Neo Tiew Road.

The aftermath of the crash showed the blue truck blocking both lanes of the road.

It had suffered serious damage to the front from the crash, including its windshield popping out.

Colourful stuffed toys, presumably from the truck’s dashboard, had spilt onto the road.

The hazard lights of the white BMW continued blinking all the while.

1 person suffers minor injuries

SCDF told MS News that they assessed one person for minor injuries, but that person declined conveyance to the hospital.

MS News understands that the involved parties are settling the matter privately.

One netizen felt surprised that the accident occurred on such a quiet road.

Though it is unclear how the crash happened, many commenters put the blame on the BMW driver.

Another commenter said that vehicles had to use Neo Tiew Road due to the closure of Lim Chu Kang Lanes 1 and 3, resulting in more accidents.

They also claimed that the road featured many blind spots.

Other netizens suggested that both the truck and the BMW were speeding on the empty road before the crash.
