A girl in Hong Kong who had asked her father for tickets to see Blackpink Lisa was met with disappointment after her father misunderstood and got tickets for local star Liza Wang instead.
The story was shared by a Hong Kong Facebook page on 29 October and has drawn over 1,900 likes.
When his daughter approached him for tickets to see Lisa for her event in November, the father must’ve been overjoyed to hear that his daughter was taking an interest in the actress he grew up with.
The father immediately bought two tickets for the Liza Wang concert.
Unfortunately for him, however, his daughter had been referring to the K-pop star, Blackpink Lisa. The international sensation coincidentally also had a fan meet-up in Hong Kong in November.
The dad, who didn’t know a lick about Blackpink, had a sudden crash course in modern pop culture when his daughter told him he got the wrong Lisa. According to World of Buzz, tickets for the Liza Wang concert range from HK$580-1,280 (S$100-220).
Despite the pricey error, the mishap hasn’t affected the two’s relationship in the slightest. In fact, it has seemingly brought them closer together since the daughter has agreed to go to the Liza Wang concert in the end.
She also managed to snag tickets for Blackpink Lisa’s meetup as well. Win-win.
