You thought 20GB for $20 was good.
M1 just joined the data fray with a colossal – and probably yet unmatched – 40GB plan for $25.
This ‘plan’ isn’t an on-the-shelf standalone. You’ll have to do a little mixing and matching to get to it.
Here’s the panel of M1’s latest data plans.
Apart from these, the telco’s got a special add-on of 25GB for $5.
So with a quark of ‘quick maff’,
A no-contract, SIM-only plan 40GB for $25? I think we have a victor.
If you’re signing up with M1, or already are a customer, you’ll get free unlimited weekend data.
Just activate the add-on on the My M1App. It’ll be free till 31 Dec 2020 — giving you slightly over 20 months of free weekend data.
For all the Mr Worldwides, M1 lets you convert your local data for overseas use.
You just have to pay for a ‘data passport’ and activate it before you scoot.
Depending on how ‘worldwide’ you are, there are different passports to apply for.
Look here for a full list.
All mySIM plans come with 100 minutes of talktime and 100 SMS. You know, in case ah ma occasionally requests for a daytime chat. By the way, porting over from another telco gets you an extra 800 minutes.
But let’s face it, data is real deal here. With 40GB in the trunk – and not to mention unlimited weekend data – you can scroll, like, share, send, swipe and watch till the Internet runs dry.
