Sombat, the homeowner, explained that he had invited Athipphat to his home for a sexual encounter and later called 38-year-old Suwichak (name transliterated) to join them in a threesome.
After the first session, the three men reportedly fell asleep.
When Sombat and Suwichak returned from the bathroom to rouse Athipphat for another round, they discovered him unresponsive. They immediately called the police.
Upon arrival, authorities found the deceased lying naked on a sofa with ants swarming over his body.
The initial investigation revealed no signs of physical assault, but Athipphat had been dead for three to four hours before the discovery.
