Man finds missing dog after two weeks, reunites with pet at local drink shop

Despite tirelessly searching for two weeks, a man in Thailand failed to find his dog, only to miraculously reunite with it as he was purchasing drinks on the side of the road while on his way home.

The incident was captured by one of the shop’s security cameras.

According to the footage timestamps, the pair were reunited on 22 Jan at around 5.25pm.

Dog rushes to owner in excitement

In the clip, a young man wearing a college uniform can be seen ordering a drink from the street-side stall when a dog with white fur bolted onto the screen with its tail wagging rapidly.

The canine began sniffing before circling around to catch the man’s attention.

After a brief moment of staring at each other, the man realised that this seemingly stray dog that had taken an interest in him was in fact the very same dog he had been searching for.

Unable to contain his surprise, he immediately shared the fantastic news with the shop owner.

As he did so, the dog was seemingly unable to contain its excitement and began standing on its hind legs to get closer to its owner.

As the man tried to continue his conversation with the shop owner, the canine leapt over towards him with paws outstretched, insistent on reclaiming his attention.

Dog finally makes it home

In an interview he did with local media, the young man said that his dog would often greet him at the door when he returned home daily.

But around two weeks ago, he noticed that it had gone missing after he was no longer met with the usual welcome.

For the next two weeks, the man walked around the nearby areas in search of the dog, but found no trace.

He had begun to fear the worst, thinking that his dog had been hit by a car.

On the day of their reunion, he had the sudden urge to visit the local drink store run by one of his seniors.

Although it was not on his usual way home, he wanted to drop by to support the shop. And as luck would have it, that was exactly where he got reunited with his dog.

Since then, he has shared a couple of clips of them together at home.

“Ever since it returned, it has refused to leave my side,” he wrote in one of the posts.
