Getting stranded in the middle of an expressway can be pretty terrifying.
After all, who wouldn’t be scared when you’re in such close proximity to fast-moving vehicles?
A Redditor by the handle u/abcdefghijken found himself in this exact situation at a highway near Choa Chu Kang. But thankfully, a kind stranger offered him a ride home.
He is now seeking to identify the driver so he can show his gratitude.
On Tuesday (28 May), the Redditor shared that he was on a taxi ride home after a job interview when the cab’s tyres became punctured.
He chose to alight along the highway and walk to the exit to find another mode of transport home.
Midway through, a Malay uncle stopped his truck and offered the Redditor a ride.
The kind driver even fetched him all the way back home, despite him saying that it’s fine to simply drop him off at the highway exit.
The Redditor is now seeking to identify the kind stranger as he did not manage to catch his name and car plate number.
The only information he has about him is that he works at Atlas Fine Foods, as seen from the truck exterior.
So if you happen to know who he is, maybe you’d like to pass on the message so that the young man can express his gratitude.
Kudos to the driver for helping out others in need. Perhaps we can all learn from him by reaching out to those in need. Who knows, you might just make someone’s day.
