As most of Singapore stays indoors during the Circuit Breaker period, essential workers are still out serving the community.
Sadly, 5 McDonald’s staff who are among them recently fell victim to Covid-19, according to The Straits Times (ST).
The staff worked at 4 different outlets across Singapore, which have to be closed till further notice.
ST reports that the 5 employees had worked at 4 outlets between 2 and 8 Apr.
Two of them had worked at multiple restaurants prior to falling ill.

Understandably, McDonald’s has closed the affected outlets till further notice, and thoroughly disinfected them.
All staff members at these outlets are also serving a 14-day Leave of Absence (LOA).
Meanwhile, the company’s managing director has advised patrons to wear masks when visiting their restaurants for takeaways.
While we still get the privilege of going out for essential tasks, let’s not take it lightly.
