The queues at polyclinics can last for hours. And after seeing the doctor, there’s another one to wait in at the adjoining pharmacy.
But good news, your wait is about to get shorter.
Courtesy of SingHealth, medicine home delivery service is now available for all patients visiting polyclinics and select government hospitals and specialist centres.

This means that you can skip the queue and let the medicine be delivered right to your doorstep.
The service will go for free till 30 June. Afterwards, patients will have to pay $8 per delivery.
$8 isn’t exactly the cheapest, so you might wanna make sure that you have lots of medicine to collect to make the delivery worth it.
You can choose for the medicine to be delivered either to your doorstep or to a designated collection point.
The collection points include PILBOX locker stations at polyclinics and bluPort lockers usually found at FairPrice Xpress at Esso petrol stations and Cheers outlets.

Not all bluPort lockers are used for the delivery because they do not meet the temperature requirement of being below 25 degree Celsius. You can find the full list here.
To sign up, just register at the clinic’s pharmacy.
As for payment, it can be made online on SingHealth’s website or at payment kiosks in the clinics. Once the payment is made, the medicine will be sent to you within 3 working days.
Given that the medicine will take about 1-3 days to arrive, you may not want to use the delivery for illnesses that require immediate medication like fever or flu.
But if you just need a top-up for your existing medication, this is a very useful alternative to going down to the clinic to pick up them up.
