An individual has been injured after a Mitsubishi on the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) ended up T-boned by another car.
The incident occurred on 11 Nov at about 4.21pm, near Central Boulevard exit.
Dashcam footage showed a red Mitsubishi driving into a tunnel, making a lane change to the right at the same time as the camcar filtered into the same lane.
The two vehicles then appeared to touch for a few seconds before the Mitsubishi spun sideways, making its way onto the rightmost lane of the MCE.
It nearly collided with a car passing by.
Almost instantly, a silver car T-boned the Mitsubishi with a loud crash, pushing it a few metres forward.
The collision severely dented the right side of the Mitsubishi and flung the trunk wide open.
Dashcam footage from the silver car showed that the Mitsubishi appeared to have come out of nowhere.
The video also contained audio of the driver hitting the brakes a second before the collision, lessening the impact.
About five seconds after the accident, the Mitsubishi driver managed to open the door and exit their vehicle.
In the aftermath, another two cars had parked at the front and back of the crash site.
Several men stood on the road shoulder making phone calls.
Traffic moved slowly in the other lanes, with the rightmost one blocked by the accident.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told MS News that they were alerted to the accident at around 4.35pm.
SCDF assessed one person for minor injuries. However, they declined conveyance to the hospital.
