A 43-year-old motorcyclist died after allegedly self-skidding along a stretch of the eastbound Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) near Toa Payoh.
Footage from the scene shows several police vehicles, a tow truck, and an ambulance parked along the road shoulder of the expressway.

Based on the surroundings, it appears the accident occurred before the exit leading to CTE.

In response to queries from MS News, the police confirmed they were alerted to the incident at approximately 4.50am on Thursday (24 Oct).
The motorcyclist, believed to have self-skidded, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
Investigations are currently ongoing.
Earlier this week, another motorcyclist lost his life after being crushed by a truck along the Kranji Expressway (KJE).
The rider was thrown underneath the truck after a lorry sideswiped him while changing lanes.
