A 25-year-old male motorcyclist passed away after an accident between his vehicle and a white lorry in Tuas.
Upon their arrival, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police have since arrested the 46-year-old lorry driver for careless driving causing death.
Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
According to The Straits Times (ST), police received an alert regarding the incident at 7.45am on Wednesday (25 Oct).
It occurred at the junction between Tuas View Link and Tuas View Walk 2.
The motorcyclist and lorry had been involved in a collision with each other.
A netizen later posted footage of the aftermath of the tragedy on TikTok.
The video started by showing traffic police directing motorists around the accident site.
An SCDF ambulance was also in the area beside a white lorry.
In front of the lorry was a large white tarp, likely covering the motorcyclist’s body.
The victim’s helmet and storage box were beside it as well.
The sight attracted a crowd of onlookers who gathered in the vicinity.
In a statement to MS News, the SCDF confirmed that they were alerted to a road traffic accident at Tuas View Square at around 7.50am on 25 Oct.
An SCDF paramedic later pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Police confirmed to ST that they placed the lorry driver, a 46-year-old man, under arrest.
Investigations into the incident are now ongoing.
