Motorcyclist falls at Jurong intersection, others ban together to help

On 29 Nov at around 7.46am, a motorcyclist fell over while waiting at a Jurong intersection.

Footage of the incident indicated that it happened on the Jurong Island Highway on a rainy morning.

The filming motorcyclist had driven up to a group of vehicles waiting at the red light where one motorcyclist was spotted to have fallen over.

The rider stood pressed between another rider and his motorcycle, struggling to lift the vehicle back upright.

A third rider stopped directly behind the man, presumably to help prevent other vehicles from hitting the rider.

At this point, the traffic light had turned green and the other cars on the road moved past the group of motorcyclists.

The filming motorcyclist made sure the rider was okay before asking him to go on.

Incident attributed to use of slippers

In the Facebook post caption, the OP attributed the rider falling to him wearing slippers while riding on a rainy day

Despite the help, some netizens accused the filming motorcyclist of shaming the fallen rider for wearing slippers, which they found unnecessary.

However, another commenter questioned whether there was any shaming at all.

They also noted that the post raised awareness about wearing proper attire when riding a motorcycle.
