On Thursday (14 Nov) night, a man in Chiayi, Taiwan drove a Porsche convertible into the ocean.
The 27-year-old driver was later rescued by coast guards after nearby residents alerted the authorities.
However, the man raised eyebrows with the state he was discovered in — standing on the Porsche in the ocean, clad in nothing except an open shirt and flowery underwear.

According to ETtoday, authorities were alerted to the accident at about 7pm — coastguards were mobilised for the rescue along with rescuers from the firefighting department.
Photos of the incident show a crane lifting the yellow Porsche out of the water.
The driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital, with no signs of alcohol or drug consumption.
However, the man was in a “poor mental state” when the coast guards rescued him — presumably the reason he drove into the ocean.

Local residents identified the 27-year-old as an unemployed man infamous for stirring up trouble in the area.
The Porsche belongs to the man’s father, who is a retired executive of a large company.
Many netizens appear unimpressed by the driver’s behaviours.
Some believe the man was constantly getting away with his shenanigans because of his financial backing.
