Sentosa’s Hawaiian-Themed Beach Paradise Is Perfect For Water Sports And Exotic Feasting

Aloha Hawaii

Aloha! A little bit of Hawaii haven has landed in sunny Singapore in the form of Ola Beach Club.

Whether you’re looking to chill (or rather, melt) under the hot sun, seeking thrills to rejuvenate your weary soul or just want to spend quality family time with your loved ones, this Hawaiian-themed beach paradise is a one-size-fits-all attraction.

From adrenaline-pumping water activities that propel you 15m into the air to sipping cocktail and lepaking by the beach, the picturesque Ola Beach Club is a great place for a getaway.

Wet And Wild

For superhero wannabes, flying in the air is no longer an improbable dream.

Ola Beach Club has Asia’s first and only water-propelled jetpack thrill ride. Fly up to 9m in the air and at speeds of up to 40km per hour as you get to experience what it’s like being Superman for a day.

But flying doesn’t come cheap – it costs $228 for 45 minutes of wild jet-packing fun.

If that still isn’t enough to quell your thirst for adventure, you can try the Jetblade Thrill.

A water-propelled hoverboard-like device will be strapped to your feet, rocketing you up to 15m above water, enabling you to perform flips like this:

But if the Jet Pack and Jetblade Thrill are too extreme, there are more staid water activities like Stand-Up Paddling, Banana Boating, Kayaking and Donut Riding you can enjoy.

Exotic Eats

After burning off some calories via water sports, you can put them back on with exotic Hawaiian eats.

Don’t be surprised to find yourself subconsciously breaking into a traditional Hawaiian Hula dance after being overwhelmed by the mouth-watering Hawaiian flavours.

Kalau Pig Taco ($18)

Try guacamole and lomi tomato relish bathed in home-made spicy Hawaiian sour cream sauce, wrapped into a taco.

If that’s not enough to fill you up, you can add on fries and salad to complete your meal.

Ahi Poke Bowl ($20)

A classic Hawaiian dish, Ahi Poke (pronounced poh-kay) is a salad made up of marinated fish cubes.

This salad is highly customisable; you can choose your base (jasmine rice, brown rice, salad), flavour (kimchi, shoyu, togarashi) and 2 sides (ebiko, pineapple, guacamole, kimchi, pumpkin seeds, cranberry, pomegranate).

Lomi-Lomi Salmon ($16)

Petite sesame waffle cones hold shredded salmon tossed together with tomatoes.

These bite-sized morsels are a distinctly Hawaiian side dish – perfect for those who prefer something light on the tummy.

And how about these cocktails served in tiki-shaped mugs that are the embodiment of all things Hawaiian, as an accompaniment for your food?
