13 Excuse Letters Parents Will Inevitably Write For Their Children To Escape Classroom Cleaning

When overprotective parents come up with excuses for child cleaning classrooms

When the Ministry of Education announced on Thursday (25 Feb) that it wants to introduce daily cleaning by students in all schools, we swear we could almost hear the school kids’ unanimous groans over the dismissal bells.

The move to teach responsibility and good life habits, say MOE. In fact, some schools like Park View Primary School and New Town Secondary School have already put aside five to 10 minutes of cleaning activities for students each day.

While we applaud MOE’s move to groom responsible young citizens, we cannot help but wonder what creative excuses some parents might come up with to prevents their children from doing extra work.

So, tongue firmly in cheek, here’s our list:
