A cat owner in Malaysia was left heartbroken for two weeks when her pet disappeared.
However, she was in for a pleasant surprise when her ‘oyen’ mysteriously showed up at her workplace.
TikTok user @naylanami shared her experience in a 16-second video posted on Thursday (7 Nov).
“I suddenly spotted it in the corner of the school cafeteria, grooming itself,” she said.
What’s more remarkable is that her home is 15 kilometres away from the school where she worked.
The short but sweet story delighted netizens, with the video having garnered more than 4,000 shares at the time of writing.
In one of the clips, the pet cat can be seen gazing out a car window while presumably sitting on its owner’s lap as she drives.
“The way it’s looking out the window… it must be memorising the route,” joked one TikTok user.
The video also drew many other lighthearted comments, with some saying that the cat must have been impressed by the delicious food at the canteen.
One netizen questioned if the cat was fed by canteen staff, which is why it didn’t return home.
Another commenter speculated that perhaps the cat wanted to pursue education at the school.
Meanwhile, one TikTok user said that maybe the cat wanted to “spotcheck” if its owner actually went to work, but decided to stay at the canteen because of the irresistible smell of fried chicken.
