You do not need them anymore.

During the public holidays, almost every place imaginable will be closed. Sometimes it can get really bad on festive occasions like Chinese New Year or Christmas, where your hawker aunties and uncles are off for a break too.

But that doesn’t mean you have to force down unhealthy fast food during the holidays.

Have no fear, here is a little guide showing you fifteen yummy places to eat at regardless the occasion and all you have to do is visit with an empty stomach and they will welcome you with open arms!

1. Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood

At Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood, you have to check out their chef recommendations – roasted pork, baby squid, sambal cuttlefish, crispy duck, Thai style dried bean curd, just to name a few. Mmmm Japanese ramen.. who knew there would be a place like this open during the holidays and on top of that, halal certified?

They serve a variety of Japanese dishes – from sushi ($7.90 – $17.90) to squid legs ($8.90) to cola chicken wings ($7.90), the list is endless! Besides that, the cost of each dish is reasonably priced; you do not have to splurge just to have good food!

This restaurant is no surprise to many of us Singaporeans because not only is it affordable, the taste is quite on point (not forgetting complimentary side dishes? We’re sold!).
