No, he didn’t go bungee jumping or parachuting off airplanes.
But he did visit the Land of the Free and rubbed shoulders with world-famous people.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be in San Francisco for a week from 10 – 16 Feb and seems delighted to spend his 64th birthday in US.
He even shared a picture of San Francisco’s iconic cable car, thanking Singaporeans for their well wishes and also quoting The Beatles’ song.
In the post, he said:
There is a Beatles song “when I was Sixty-Four”, and now I have got there! *smiley face*
The song was sung by a young man to his lover, telling her about his plans to grow old with her. Maybe this is a song dedication to Ho Ching?

There are indeed perks of being the PM of Singapore, which include meeting the governor of California, Jerry Brown, as well as prominent leaders of Tech companies such as Facebook.
PM Lee did say he is “seeing interesting companies and people over the next few days. Will update as I go”.
Here’s a list of tech giants he will meet:
Being a people’s man, PM Lee will also be meeting Singaporean tech professionals in San Francisco by hosting a roundtable — which is in line with our Smart Nation Initiative.
PM Lee’s already got a hectic schedule planned.
After his meetings with the tech giants and Singaporean tech professionals, PM Lee would be attending The Summit in Sunnylands California, hosted by US president Obama on 15 Feb.
Foreign Affairs Minister and high ranking MFA officials will join PM Lee to discuss ASEAN-US cooperation in political and economic security, as well as regional and international issues.
PM Lee has his fair share of fans, with almost a million likes on his Facebook page.
But guess who’s a fanboy too — Singaporean Mandopop singer Lin Jun Jie (JJ Lin) took the opportunity to wish the PM a happy birthday and even invited PM Lee to his concert!
The cabinet celebrated PM Lee’s birthday in advance knowing that he would be out of Singapore.
And boy did PM Lee look ecstatic at the pre-celebration!
Looks like age is just a number to PM Lee — he’s clearly elated to turn 64.
Happy Birthday PM Lee!
