Pokémon fanatics rejoice as you can now catch ’em all with OneZo Tapioca’s Poké Ball bobas.
Initially only available in Canada, the Pokémon-themed drinks gained so much attention that Malaysia’s OneZo outlets will also be offering them.
If you missed the chance to try one at Shilin Night Market at Kranji back in Apr, you can now head to Malaysia to have the Poké Ball bobas.
Based on their Instagram page, OneZo Malaysia will only be offering 2 flavours — fruit tea and milk tea.
However, you could probably ask them to add Poké Ball bobas to any drink of your choice.
The Poké Ball bobas are made from red rice, bamboo charcoal, and coconut so you’ll be able to get the chewiness of normal bobas with the sweet taste of coconut.
That’s different from the sourish Pokémon pearls by Playmade at Shilin Night Market which is made with pink cactus, charcoal, and white pearl dough.
Just take note that OneZo is only selling 300 cups of Poke Ball boba teas a day. So make sure you’re one of the first few customers at the outlet.
For those that are excited to purchase these drinks but turned off by how “close“ Malaysia is, the nearest outlet isn’t as far as you might think.
The closest OneZo is located at Johor Bahru — a 24-minute drive from the checkpoint.
Address: 99, Jalan Austin Heights 3, Taman Mount Austin, 81100 Johor Bahru
Opening hours: Mon-Sun (11am-1am)
Alternatively, the next time you head over to Malaysia, visit one of the other OneZo outlets. For the location of the other outlets, check out OneZo Malaysia’s Facebook page.
