2020 has been a tumultuous year. Despite so, national examinations like the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) still went on, albeit with safety measures in place.
On Wednesday (18 Nov), the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced that the 2020 PSLE results will be released next Wednesday (25 Nov).
Unlike previous years where PSLE results were released in school halls, this year’s exercise will be done in individuals classrooms instead.

According to MOE, the PSLE results will be released from 11am on 25 Nov in individual classrooms.
One parent or guardian will reportedly be allowed to accompany each PSLE candidate to collect their results.

However, they’d have to wait in designated areas at the schools while the student receives their results in their respective classrooms.
In light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, students and their parents/guardians would have to adhere to safe management measures.
In addition to their results slips, PSLE candidates will also receive a Secondary 1 (S1) Option Form. Do note that the S1 Option Form will not be issued online.
Candidates can proceed to submit their secondary school options online using the S1 Personal Identification Number (PIN) – on their respective S1 Option Forms – through MOE’s website.
The portal will be opened for roughly a week, from 11am on Wednesday (25 Nov) to 3pm on 1 December.
Candidates will receive their secondary school posting results on 22 Dec which can be accessed via
Candidates who are unable to collect their results due to quarantine, or having to serve Stay-Home Notices (SHN) or Leave of Absence, can view their results online via the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board’s (SEAB) website.
They may do so from 11.30am on 25 Nov till 8 Dec.
These PSLE candidates may also nominate a proxy to collect the physical result slip and S1 Option Form on their behalf.
Proxies must, of course, produce the documents to verify their identity, and may collect the documents from next Friday (27 Nov).
Those who have difficulties collecting the documents should contact their respective primary schools for help.
MS News wishes Primary 6 students all the best for their PSLE results and future endeavours.
Though collecting PSLE results as an entire cohort in the school hall might be a tradition most of us had gone through, perhaps it’s safer for us to do away with the practice in light of the ongoing pandemic.
If you know someone whose child just sat for the PSLE examinations, tag them in the comments below so they know when the results are released.
