Resident in Thailand releases snakes in condo corridor to ‘devour’ neighbour’s dog after pet dispute

Resident unleashes 2 large snakes in condo corridor after pet dispute with neighbour

A resident in Thailand reportedly released two large snakes into a condominium corridor to punish his neighbour for secretly keeping dogs, which violated the condo’s no-pet rule.

On Monday (19 May), a Facebook user uploaded a now-viral video showing the reptiles slithering freely along the corridor floor.

“Typical day in my condo. There are grey business, scam syndicate, gambling, murder, and now snakes slithering along the corridor,” reads the post.

Resident allegedly released snakes to scare neighbour’s dog

According to the Facebook user, the man who released the snakes had been feuding with a nearby neighbour for harbouring a dog, despite pets being banned in the condo.

Fed up with management’s failure to take action, he allegedly brought the snakes and left them outside the neighbour’s door in hopes that they would “devour” the dog.

Netizens say snakes will eat dog owner too

The incident stunned many online, with netizens flooding the post with comments, some in disbelief, others poking fun at the situation.

One jokingly commented that the snakes were so large, they might just eat the dog owner as well.

Another remarked that it was a fair fight, adding, “At least snakes don’t bark.”

One Facebook user lightheartedly suggested that they should have brought king cobras instead.

Both parties fined & ordered to remove animals

The bizarre situation eventually attracted the attention of four police officers and four rescue workers, who arrived to defuse tensions.

The dog owner was fined 10,000 baht (S$390) for illegally keeping pets in the condominium, according to Thai news outlet Channel 7.

Meanwhile, the snake owner received an official warning and was also fined, though the exact amount was not revealed.

Both the dog and the snakes were ordered to be removed from the premises.
