On Tuesday (18 Nov), a scaffolding collapsed onto a road in Malaysia, crushing a car in the process.
Despite the heavy impact, the 44-year-0ld car driver somehow escaped unharmed.

Bernama reported that the incident occurred at around 1.35pm along Jalan Lingkaran Tengah 2 (MRR2) towards Batu Caves in Selangor.
Dashcam footage on social media showed numerous vehicles driving under construction scaffolding for a rail project.
Suddenly, one of the scaffolds collapsed onto the road.

The scaffold poles landed heavily on a silver Suzuki Swift, partially crushing it and throwing up a cloud of dust.

Footage from other motorists also showed several cars and a motorcyclist narrowly avoiding being crushed by the scaffold poles.

Members of the public rushed over to help — they rescued the driver from the Suzuki Swift before officers from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) arrived.

“The victim was unharmed, but the car sustained damage. The cause of the incident is still under probe,” the Gombak district police chief stated.
Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) has since stopped all construction work and promised cooperation with the authorities, who are investigating.
They took the opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
MRL further pledged to provide “immediate financial assistance” to the owner of the Suzuki Swift while investigations are ongoing.
