A schoolgirl in Thailand found herself in an awkward situation after peering down at a boy through the stair railing.
In her excitement, she had pushed her head through the gap, and gotten herself stuck.
Footage of the incident circulated online, with one clip garnering more than 5.3 million views on TikTok in the past week.
Security footage, which captured the moments leading up to the incident, showed that the girl was sitting on the stairs when she suddenly decided to peek through the gaps to catch a glimpse of the floor below.
There, a boy can briefly be seen before he moved away. As soon as he did, the girl pulled her head back and realised that she was stuck.
The schoolgirl then smacked the railing, attempting to free herself, while her schoolmates were oblivious to her predicament.
A group of girls who had been conversing on the floor above eventually noticed their trapped schoolmate and alerted a pair of teachers.
In a separate clip, the girls and the teachers were seen prying the stair posts apart.
Through their combined effort, the girl slowly pulled herself out.
Despite the stressful situation, the cheerful schoolgirl who had gotten herself stuck was laughing and smiling throughout.
Netizens in the comments section of the videos also saw the humour in the incident.
“The things you do when you want to get a look at guys,” said one TikTok user.
To which the OP replied saying, “This is true”.
