Sengkang dwellers may have seen or heard of a massive integrated development project going on near Buangkok MRT Station. Well, that development is none other than Sengkang Grand Mall, a shopping haven in the heartland by Capitaland.
According to the mall’s website, it’s slated to open very soon, on Monday (6 Mar).
The mall is part of a wider integrated development, comprising a hawker centre, bus interchange, childcare centre, residential estate and community plaza.
The mall is set to house more than 90 stores.
The mall will reportedly feature a wide array of food choices across different cuisines when it opens next month.
According to Sengkang Grand Mall’s website, the mall will offer as many as 33 dining options, including Le Shrimp Ramen, JINJJA Chicken, and IPPUDO.
At the time of writing, the McDonald’s outlet seems to be open, as shoppers have already visited the fast food restaurant as early as 24 Feb.
Other stores within sight appeared to still be in the process of setting up, though more of them would likely be ready by now.
Regardless, those in need of some retail therapy can look forward to big-name clothing brands like Bossini and UNIQLO which will also be opening at the mall.
Besides yummy eats and fashion choices, shoppers can find health and beauty essentials at Guardian and Watsons.
After finding everything you need, you can drop by FairPrice Finest to stock up on groceries before heading home.
The new mall is conveniently located a stone’s throw away from Bunagkok MRT station and Buangkok bus interchange.
Here’s how you can find it in case you’re still unsure:

With so much to offer right in the heartland, there’s no longer a need for residents in the North-East to travel to town and face the crowds to get some retail or food therapy.
Everything they can possibly need is now right at their doorstep, just a bus or MRT ride away.
If you know anyone who’d like to visit the new mall soon, tag them in the comments.
