Paya Lebar Quarter mall has opened to much fanfare, but we were absolutely floored when we saw preview pictures of their new gorgeous cineplex that will house 12 halls & IMAX screens.
Here’s a sneak peek at what to expect. We also tell you how to redeem free movie tickets & theatre snacks, for at least 500 lucky fans on Wed (4 Sep).
The massive new cineplex is set to be the largest outlet in the East of Singapore, currently under Shaw, with 12 movie halls.
Jewel Changi clocks in second on the list, with 11 movie halls – one of which is the first family-friendly theatre – in Singapore.
Housing 12 screens in total, this is how the line-up looks like:
If you think this regular movie hall pictured above already looks impressive, wait till you see the rest of the halls.
Thrown off by the jargon, “Lumiere”? The branding is simply Shaw’s equivalent of premiere Gold Class seating like Golden Village, or Cathay’s Platinum experience.
Plush red seats with ample leg room and wide corridors will give you the ultimate cinematic experience, if you can fork out the dollars, that is.
As for cinephiles who hate squinting at screens and are absolutely triggered by 240p videos on YouTube, do consider topping up for the full IMAX experience.
Perpetual snackers who need always need something to munch on during your movies, will love their spacious counters. Expect popcorn, hotdogs, nachos, and whatever snack your better half desires midway through the movie.
Just remember to agree on whether you’re getting sweet or salty popcorn, before you join the queue.
If you’ve been itching to join a queue for freebies instead, you can consider getting in line this Wednesday (4 Sep) from 9.30am onwards.
Each person will be able to redeem 2 free tickets, until 500 Shaw movie tickets have been distributed.
Can’t spare time to snag the tickets? Shaw will also give out free movie snacks* for each a pair of tickets purchased:
*Up to 200 deals a day to be redeemed.
For everyone else, look out for these ticket promos for a “limited time period” as well.
We all have that gang of friends whom we love catching a movie with, so do let them know of the spanking new cinema in the East.
To the Westie in the clique, hopefully the gorgeous new cinema will be a good enough reason to cross Singapore.
Those who list queuing as a past-time proudly too, will probably enjoy joining the lines to redeem free movie tickets.
All the best at claiming your free movie, if you do decide to get in line!
