Most of us have grown up with Pokémon in some way, be it through the countless TV shows, the movies, or the trading cards.
To this day, the franchise remains wildly popular around the world, and Singapore is no exception with even the cable car jumping on the trend.
Avid Pokémon collectors here will now have something new to look forward to when Shell Singapore releases a special edition range of dehumidifier plushies.
Consisting of four designs, the collection features Pikachu, Snorlax, Eevee, and Charizard in adorable sleeping positions.
Each design will be released separately on the first day of each month from September to November 2023.
At first glance, Pikachu, Snorlax, Eevee, and Charizard may simply look like decorative plushies.
In reality, they double up as handy dehumidifiers which keep your surroundings smelling extra clean and fresh.
Each plushie contains dehumidifier pills to absorb moisture and prevent mildew.
Furthermore, just as a wounded Pokémon can recover in a Heal Ball, you too can regenerate the plushie’s dehumidifying properties by putting it under the sun, heating it up, or baking it.
The dehumidifier pills stay effective for up to a year, following which you can keep your plushie as cute décor or recycle it.
Fans can look out for the first two designs in the collection — Pikachu and Snorlax — from 10am on 1 Sep, which will be dropping at Shell stations islandwide.
Eevee and Charizard, on the other hand, will be available from 10am on 1 Oct and 1 Nov onwards respectively.
Pikachu can be purchased at S$18.90 with a minimum S$70 gross spend on Shell V-Power or S$15 nett spend on Shell Select Store items.
As for Snorlax, you can also get it at S$18.90 with a minimum S$70 gross spend on any Shell Fuels or S$15 nett spend on Shell Select Store items.
Eevee and Charizard retail for the same price, and are available for purchase with a minimum spend of S$70 on any Shell fuels.
Alternatively, one can unlock the plushies for purchase with a minimum spend of S$15 on Shell Select Store items. Do take note that this excludes tobacco and in-store service items.
The plushies are all redeemable via the Shell Asia app, which users can download via the App Store or Google Play store.
As a bonus, your plushie comes with a Pokémon Trading Card Game Fun Pack, of which there are two types you can potentially get.
That is not all — you will also be taking home a Pokémon Trading Card Game Half Playmat with each purchase.
If you really want to catch ’em all and cannot wait until 1 Nov to complete your collection, there is a way to collect all four plushies at once.
On 2 and 3 Sep, the full collection will be available for purchase at six Shell stations from 10am onwards, and for the first 60 customers in line only.
The promotion is part of Shell Singapore’s special two-day launch event for the dehumidifier plushies, which will also feature Pikachu meet-and-greet sessions as well as free goodie bags.
If you already have the Shell Asia app, you can sign up as a Shell GO+ member to get your photo taken with the OG Pokémon.
