Singapore’s 5th Covid-19 related death was just announced on Friday (3 Apr).
According to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) statement, the patient was an 86-year-old woman with no travel history to other affected regions.
She passed away on Friday (3 Apr) morning, at 1.55am.
She was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) on 31 Mar and tested positive on the same day.
The Straits Times wrote that the woman may be case 918, one of the patients from the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home cluster.
Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home later confirmed this in a Facebook post.
Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home is reaching out to the deceased’s family to see them through this trying period.
MOH has also reached out to them, and is ensuring they have ample assistance to see them through their loss.
