Singapore Airlines Resumes Select Flights To Bangkok, Seoul & Tokyo After Reinstating Routes

Singapore Airlines & SilkAir Flight Schedule Till Jul 2020 Released

On Monday (1 Jun), Singapore Airlines (SIA) & SilkAir announced that they’ll adding more destinations for domestic flights & upping the frequency of some flight services.

These new updates are for flights happening in Jun & Jul 2020.

This is definitely good news for the homegrown aviation brand which recently announced a drastic drop in profits since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Here’s a summary of the destinations that will resume.

Select flights to Seoul, Osaka & Bangkok

Flights that will be reinstated include:

Australia/New Zealand

• Adelaide
• Auckland
• Brisbane
• Christchurch
• Melbourne

Asia

• Bangkok, Thailand
• Cebu, Philippines
• Hanoi, Vietnam
• Hong Kong
• Jakarta, Indonesia
• Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• Osaka, Japan
• Seoul, Korea
• Tokyo, Japan

Europe/US

• Amsterdam, Netherlands
• Barcelona, Spain
• Copenhagen, Denmark
• Los Angeles, America

Do note that SIA has stated that all flights are “subject to regulatory approval”. This means that schedules can still be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Can get refund unused tickets for flight credits

Original flights planned for Jun-Jul 2020 takeoffs that aren’t listed in these schedules will also be cancelled. This is part of the 94% passenger capacity cut previously announced.

If there are updates to each flight schedule, existing customers will receive an SMS or email update.

For cancelled bookings, patrons can receive flight credits for the full value of their unused tickets.

Upon rebooking your new flights with SIA, you’ll be able to claim “bonus flight credits” which can be used up to 31 Dec.

Transit through Singapore allowed from 2 Jun 2020

As part of the Circuit Breaker easing measures, flight transits will “gradually be allowed” via Changi Airport from Tuesday (2 Jun).

However, more information will be released once transfer lanes are confirmed by Changi Airport.

Continue to stay vigilant on travels

Although air travel is expected to resume, the frequency will be monitored closely. Strict social distancing and temperature checks are expected to continue.

This means that non-essential travel should still be put on hold till we’re given the all clear. If you do have to travel urgently, however, do stay vigilant on your trips.
