MOH also released information on the first Filipino patient in Singapore, which the Philippine embassy announced earlier today.

Case 90 visited clinic 3 times

According to MOH, case 90 is a woman who lives at Bishan Street 12 and visited a clinic on at least 3 occasions, perhaps indicating a return of symptoms.

She consulted a general practitioner (GP) on 9, 17 and 23 Feb.

On Sunday (23 Feb), she was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), before being transferred to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), where she currently stays in an isolation room.

She spent most of her time at her home in Bishan before admission.

Discharged cases include worker at RWS

The 2 discharged cases were also announced by MOH as being Cases 46 and 87.

Case 46 is an Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) casino employee and was in hospital since 10 Feb.

Meanwhile, Case 87 was evacuated from Wuhan on 9 Feb and confirmed with the virus on 21 Feb.

There are 37 cases still in hospital – of these, 7 are in the ICU. There were no updates on the Bangladeshi worker in critical condition.

No news may be good news on that front.

Meanwhile, an MOH spokesman told The Straits Times (ST) that the first Filipino patient is Case 89, coincidentally the GYMMBOXX Bishan member who tested positive on Saturday (22 Feb).

Unpredictable recovery rates between Covid-19 patients

The mysterious nature of Covid-19 is undoubtedly making things rather difficult. Symptoms can appear and disappear, and different people recover at varying rates.

What is good to see though, is that the new cases are getting lower and that more are being discharged everyday.

We hope that this trajectory continues and one day, we may be free of Covid-19.
