On Tuesday (30 Jul) at about 8.25am, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to a call near Raffles Place.
A body was apparently reported floating in the Singapore River.
It was swiftly pulled out from the water by SCDF personnel. After which, the paramedics pronounced the person dead.
There has yet to be any confirmation on the identity of the dead person or the cause of his/her death.
The place has been cordoned off and the police have set up a body tent.
