#damndaniel took the internet by storm and it did not take long for some hilarious Singaporean teens to catch on!
@SamCandoStuff on Twitter uploaded his own version of #damndaniel — the asian version, #damnhongkai
We don’t know what we love most about this compilation.
Is it Hongkai’s the epitome of style with his Herschel bag and classic grey file?
Is it his sheepish grin every time Hongkai gets called out?
Or maybe funniest part of the whole video was that Hongkai did not give a… damn.
It started off with two teenage boys from California who were part of making a series of #damndaniel, while showing off Daniel’s sense of style via Snapchat.
What started off as fun turned both Daniel and Josh — voice of “damn Daniel” — into gradual stars as the snaps quickly went viral.
They were eventually invited to The Ellen Show, and everyone could see why the #damndaniel series were so well-received.
Because damn, Daniel is pretty dashing in person.
Girls swoon at the sight of these boys and they even received marriage proposals on Twitter!
Who knows, our home-grown #damnhongkai might be a rising internet sensation too.
A pair of white Vans that supposedly belongs to Daniel is up on eBay for USD 400,100.
Which is S$564,084.99.
Which makes them more expensive than a 4-room HDB flat at Bidadari.
But it will probably take a miracle for a pair of white soiled #damnhongkai school shoes to cost more than a plate of chicken rice in the hawker centre.
