While at a local homestay in Mae Hong Son, Thailand, a guest was shocked after finding a snake under her pillow.
On Friday (1 Nov), TikTok user @aammyypipi posted a video showing two individuals trying to catch a snake on a wooden floor.
The woman explained that her pleasant stay took a terrifying turn when she felt movement under her pillow while sleeping.
She then lifted the pillow to find a snake slithering underneath.
Upon inspecting the entire room, the homestay staff informed her that they had found multiple snakes.
The woman advised others to be cautious when staying at accommodations in forested areas.
Based on several clips in the video, she was staying in a cliffside abode surrounded by lush greenery.
The video went viral quickly, garnering more than four million views at the time of writing. Many netizens commented that they felt terrified by the incident.
One woman said she would faint if the same thing happened to her.
Another user jokingly remarked that she would prefer to encounter a ghost than a snake while staying at a homestay.
However, one netizen questioned the homestay for failing to conduct a thorough check before guest check-in.
According to the homestay guest, the accommodation had an “amazing ambiance” with “good service”.
