In less than a month’s time, the Skywalker saga will come to an end with the release of its finale — The Rise of Skywalker.
Knowing how much fans are anticipating the movie’s release, Instant Pot – a company specialising in kitchen appliances – recently launched 5 Star Wars cookers in various sizes that allow you to rice to the occasion when the force comes calling.
The 5 designs available in the collection are attractively diverse — they include droids like R2-D2 and BB-8 as well as members of the dark side like Darth Vader.
When it comes to iconic Star Wars characters, hardly anyone comes close to R2-D2 — the courageous droid who witnessed numerous wars over his years serving many masters.
The R2-D2 rice cooker has uncanny resemblance to the droid itself and boasts blue details on its handle and front against a white backdrop.
R2-D2 may be the favourite droid for many of the older fans, but younger ones who made a foray into the series with the newer films may prefer BB-8 instead.
The BB-8 rice cooker comes in an orange-white design and has pressure cooking, sautéing, and slow cooking capabilities despite its smol size.
Fans who prefer their household appliances to look simple and minimalist can opt for the Stormtrooper cooker, which comes in a monochromatic white design.
The cooker pays tribute to the elite ground force and has the Galactic Empire symbol imprinted on the front as well as drawings of stormtrooper helmets on the side.
If Stormtroopers aren’t menacing enough for your liking, consider going for the all-black Darth Vader cooker instead.
We aren’t sure if the cooker is imbued with any of the Sith Lord’s powers, but if that’s the case, chances are you’ll be able to cook your meal in no time.
Us humans may not understand a word that Chewbacca uttered throughout the Star Wars franchise, but that didn’t stop us one bit from crying as the Wookiee mourned the loss of his good friend, Han Solo.
The Chewbacca cooker is the largest in the collection and comes in a brown shade with hair-like details.
Don’t worry, you won’t find brown Wookie hair in your food using this cooker.
These Star Wars cookers are available from US$79.95 (~S$109.30) on the Williams Sonoma website.
Sadly, these are not allowed to be shipped out of the states.
However, if you’re a huge Star Wars fan who die die have to cop one of the cookers for your homes, try asking a friend staying in the States, or engage a US-based courier.
Christmas is coming, and you never know which of your friends might surprise you with one!
