We’re only days away from the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and the anticipation is already palpable among die-hard fans.
So in the realm of celebratory merch, Golden Village will be releasing intricate Star Wars tumblers this Thursday (12 Dec).
They’ll be modelled after droids C3PO, R2D2 and Kylo Ren — the galaxy’s latest baddie with a slew of inherited daddy issues.
In the wise words of Yoda, love the tumblers, you must.
How to get the tumblers, here is.
There’s always a keen sense of nostalgia associated with this pair of adorable droids who get up to plenty of hilarious hijinks in the Star Wars franchise.
Though a life-model isn’t exactly within our budgets, you can consider getting a tumbler capped with R2D2’s revolving head unit.
Every time you unscrew the top, it’ll almost be like R2D2 is spinning around to send a curious glance your way.
There’s also a CNY-appropriate flashy gold C3PO tumbler that’s the tallest of them all.
Finally, the medium height jet black cold cup plays homage to the newest member of the Star Wars villain club — Lord Kylo Ren, who will be decked out in full gear and ready to command his army of Stormtroopers.
Regardless of which design catches your fancy, you’ll be able to redeem the free tumbler with a popcorn combo at $14.50.
Members of the GV Movie Club can buy the set for $13.50. Membership is free, so if you want the extra $1 off and are a huge film buff, you can sign up here.
The combo includes 1 large popcorn, and a soft drink to be contained within your new tumbler of choice.
Do note that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will hit local theatres a week later, on Thursday (19 Dec).
As the intricate designs are expected to be popular, we’d recommend checking them out early this Thursday (14 Dec), if you’re bent on getting the merch.
You can check where the nearest GV cinema is to you here. Most of them open by late morning, but you can head over at around 10am to be safe.
Or you know, have your best BB-8 wait in line for you. Whichever rocks your boat, Baby Yoda will be surely be blessing your journey, every step of the way.
