Starbucks Japan Has A Pen Which Acts Like An EZ-Link

Are you a Starbucks addict? Starbucks Japan has made life easier for their customers by creating a special Starbucks pen that also acts as like a prepaid card for their exclusive products.

The pen bears the charming and elegant aesthetic of all Starbucks merchandise. But what’s special is its top. In fact, it looks a little like a thermoter. The card stripe on the top turns the pen into a prepaid Starbucks card.

According to Sora News, the ink is not your usual black or blue. It’s a coffee brown. Trust Starbucks to be this meticulous with their merchandise. Or perhaps, trust Japan’s Starbucks to be this meticulous. The Japanese are after all known for their attention to detail — Kojima’s latest Death Stranding makes a prime example.

Comes in 3 colours

The special pen comes in 3 colours — silver, black and white. We think the white one looks the sexiest.

According to Sora News, these touch pens go for 5,320 yen (S$68) each. This includes a 1,000 yen (S$13) credit to the account. They really aren’t cheap, are they? But if you’re a diehard Starbucks fan, and we’re sure there are many of you out there, such an exclusive merchanise will surely tempt the wallet more than you can resist.

But of course, spend wisely folks. You can treat yourself every once in a while to something nice like that, but not all the time.
