26-Year-Old Lady Skips Meals To Buy Cosmetics, Now Suffers Terminal Stomach Cancer

Lady In China Diagnosed With Stomach Cancer After Having Irregular Meals To Save Money

Some of us may be guilty of scrimping and saving on our daily meals to save money for items that we’ve been eyeing.

For the past few years, a 26-year-old named Xiao Wen – a pseudonym – reportedly scrimped on her daily meals just so she could afford cosmetic products.

Her unhealthy routine, unfortunately, took a toll on her body.

Recently, the young office worker was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer after having blood in the stool.

26-year-old lady had bloody stool & poor appetite

According to Malaysian Chinese news portal Oriental Daily, Xiao Wen recently found blood in her “completely black” stool.

This reportedly wasn’t her first time experiencing this shocking condition. Thus, she did not think much of it and chose to self-medicate.

However, her condition showed no signs of improvement after a week. In fact, the 26-year-old’s appetite only worsened.

Xiao Wen subsequently visited a hospital for a “detailed examination”.

Later diagnosed with stomach cancer

There, Xiao Wen was reportedly diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer and felt absolutely horrified.

When asked about her lifestyle routine, Xiao Wen reportedly told doctors that “she couldn’t remember the last time she had proper meals”.

Oriental Daily reported that Xiao Wen would always choose the cheapest item to eat and spend her savings on cosmetics.

Had irregular meals also due to heavy workload

Xiao Wen also admitted that her meals would become irregular once she gets swamped with work. During times like this, the 26-year-old would reportedly treat it as a way to lose weight.

At times, her lunch would apparently only consist of a bun left over from breakfast and some pickled vegetables.

Despite just receiving a pay raise, Xiao Wen now has no choice but to quit her job as she needs to report to the hospital every day for treatment.

Be careful of your meal routine

Our heartfelt commiserations go out to Xiao Wen for the unfortunate diagnosis.

That said, we hope this story serves as a reminder for all to be extra careful about their meal routine and health in general.

While saving money is important, our health shouldn’t be compromised in the process. As the saying “health is wealth” goes, we’d be in no proper state to enjoy our earthly possessions without being in the pink of health.
