P6, Sec 4 & Sec 5 Students Will Attend School Daily, But CCAs & Tuition Classes Won’t Resume

Students From All Other Levels Will Have Alternate Weeks Of Home-Based Learning & Classes In School

Some Primary 6 students returned to schools in small groups today on Tuesday (19 May).

Now, most other schools in Singapore will be reopening gradually in phases as the Circuit Breaker lifts officially on 1 Jun.

Alternate weeks of HBL for P1-P5, Sec 1-3 students

In line with the Circuit Breaker easing, students from Primary 1 to 5 levels, and Sec 1 to 3 levels will be attending school in person during alternate weeks — with staggered arrival & dismissal times.

This means that Home-Based Learning will still be a large part of our students’ curriculum in the forseeable future.

Primary 6, Sec 4 & Sec 5 students will go to school daily

As for students in Primary 6, Secondary 4 and Secondary 5 levels, all of whom will be taking crucial exams at the end of the year, they’ll be heading to school daily under tighter screening measures covered here.

Student care centres will reopen, but CCAs & tuition won’t resume

Student care centres will be reopening on 2 Jun — along with all other schools, as scheduled.

However, CCAs, enrichment lessons & tuition classes will not be slated to begin again.

JCs to have 50% of cohort present in school per day

Junior Colleges (JCs) will allow 50% of their cohorts to be present within schools during one full school day.

Students from Institutes of Higher Learning classes can expect only to return to campus for “practical and lab-based” lessons. Regular lectures will still be conducted online.

Compulsory temp-screening, mask-wearing & ID check-ins

Mask-wearing, temperature-screening, ID check-ins & check-outs at school gates via a SafeEntry QR code system, as well as wiping down classrooms after lessons will be carried out to mitigate risks of transmission.

Safe-distancing will be enforced as well, with students & staff not allowed to congregate in shared spaces like school halls, canteens & staffrooms.

We wish all our students & school staff all the best in resuming their lessons, and hope that everyone stays safe.
