A distraught Singaporean shared tragic news on Facebook about an accident in Tampines that claimed the lives of his daughter and mother on 22 Mar.
According to Mr Ng, the accident took place at approximately 9.30pm and involved 2 other casualties.
He has requested any form of assistance possible for ongoing investigations.
According to Mr Ng’s Facebook post, the accident took place at the junction of Tampines Avenue 10 and Tampines Avenue 9, towards Tampines Expressway (TPE).
In a post that has received 14,000 shares at the time of writing, Mr Ng requested for “[a]ny form of contribution that could render assistance to the investigation”.
He also asked for friends and family to share the post as well, in the hopes of finding closure for his mother and daughter’s passing.
In several heart-wrenching posts dedicated to his mother and daughter, Mr Ng recounts fond memories with the duo.
He described his 5-year-old Aerith as,
“a bubbly girl, full of energy, friendly, generous, big hearted, well loved by her family, friends, teachers and everyone who knew her”
He also shared one of the last photos the family of 3 took together, with a tear-jerking message to Aerith:
In yet another post, Mr Ng shared a tribute to his mother as well, describing her as
“a true giver (who) always put others above herself”
To lose 2 family members in one tragic incident must have been a devastating blow for Mr Ng and his family.
While he disclosed details of the wake in the Facebook post, he advises those keen to drop by to inform him beforehand to arrange visiting time slots in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
One cannot even begin to fathom the pain that accompanies the family’s loss.
Thankfully, in an update on Mr Ng’s post, some people have already come forward to assist in investigations.
We hope that the family can find some semblance of closure. MS News extends our sincerest condolences to them.
