Been anxiously waiting for your Taobao haul to arrive even though it has been 2 weeks? Tired of those pesky 3rd party shipping fees?
Well, you can say goodbye to those worries with Taobao’s brand new 6,000 sqft physical store, opened on Wednesday (4 Sep).
Besides being able to QC your items IRL before carting them home, you can also receive your items 1-5 days upon purchasing them only — provided it’s in stock locally.
Here’s what else to expect from Funan Mall’s latest tenant.
The store carries around 300 items specially curated for Singaporeans, including furniture, household items and kitchenware.
For those who are into kawaii stuff, the store also carries adorable trinkets like this small penguin 3D puzzle.
What better way to hint to your bae you’re ready to settle down, than to window shop for your dream BTO bedroom set-up?
Browse through Taobao’s vast selection of beds, furniture, carpets and cabinets at their spacious showrooms.
Virtual-Reality (VR) escape rooms have already hit Singapore. But now VR tech will help to illuminate your shopping experience as well.
Taobao’s latest store has a booth that lets you key in your apartment’s specifications to create a digital mock-up of your home.
This will allow you to pick an item and see how it would look like as well as if it is able to fit in your home. Just like playing a Sims game.
The entire modelling process takes about 45 mins to 1 hour to set-up, so do note that you’ll have to be able spare the time to try this out.
Taobao have also use QR codes around their store, which you can scan to find out more about the product as well as to purchase a product.
With the vast array of products in-store, feel free to physically check the actual build quality of that online item you’ve been eyeing, before you purchase it.
For instance, you may be incredibly tall for your age. So before you click ‘Add to Cart’ on the Taobao app, head down to the showroom to check if the mirror suits your height first.
Pick up your online Taobao bounty at Funan Mall’s outlet directly, within 1 to 5 days if local warehouses have stocked your items.
Say bye bye to long waits & expensive shipping fees, as Taobao handles everything directly.
If you’re planning a trip down, look out for Flash Deals that will happen on 7 and 8 Sep with items going as low as S$3.90.
There’s also a 99 Mega Sale on 9 and 10 Sep, which gives you free delivery with any purchase.
