Tired of your Taobao products turning out different from what you expected?
You can wave those worries goodbye, because the Chinese online retailer has opened its first ever physical store in Singapore.
Taobao will be one of 18 tenants housed in NomadX, a new retail concept store in Plaza Singapura.
Offering short-term leases and “plug & play” retail units, NomadX touts itself as a great place for brands to trial new concepts and products.
If you’re already planning a visit with your friends this weekend, here’s what to expect:
Taobao fans frantically awaiting this weekend’s 11.11 sale have another reason to celebrate.

From the looks of things, it appears that prices of Taobao products at NomadX are not marked up.
A quick search on the Taobao website revealed that the neck dryer mentioned earlier is selling at the exact same price.
Style Theory – a designer dress rental company – will also be premiering its first pop-up store in NomadX.
Dubbed Style Theory Capsule, customers will be able to view their dresses of choice IRL before deciding to rent it.
The pop-up store will also feature personal favourites of fashion influencers like Andrea Chong.

That’s because dining options are aplenty at NomadX, and for us at MS News, one option clearly stands out from the rest.
