The National Day Parade (NDP) is the time for throwbacks, and what better way to evoke nostalgia than through song?

While the NDP audience at the Padang sang along to the usual favourites on Friday (9 Aug), local singer Taufik Batisah treated everyone else to an emotional throwback online.

He recorded a slower version of the 2005 NDP song “Reach Out For The Skies”, which has close to 4,500 likes at the time of writing.

Taufik accompanied the post with a caption teasing at many Singaporeans’ school memories from learning the iconic lyrics and dance moves.
