As one of the smaller vehicles on the road, motorcyclists have to be extra careful on the road due to this vulnerability.
But even if they ride perfectly, they can still fall victim to other drivers.
One such accident occurred with a taxi near Changi Airport.
On the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) heading to the airport, a blue Comfort taxi collided with a motorcycle while changing lanes.
The crash sent various broken parts flying and appeared to throw the rider a sizeable distance near the road shoulder.
SG Road Vigilante uploaded the short video to Facebook. They stated that the accident took place on 24 Oct at around 2.19pm.
The video showed several vehicles travelling on the PIE near Changi Airport, with various airplanes in view.
In the distance, a motorcyclist in a white shirt rides on the left-most lane.

Meanwhile, the blue Comfort taxi appeared to be driving in between the left and centre lanes.
The accident then seemed to occur in the blink of an eye, as broken chunks of the motorcycle landed in the wake of the taxi.
The taxi swerved left and right before it stopped on the road shoulder.

With the video at such low quality, it appeared as though the motorcyclist mysteriously vanished upon the collision.
However, a careful look reveals what appears to be the white-shirted rider.

After the violent collision, the rider then landed heavily near the road barrier.
The SCDF told MS News that they were alerted to an accident along the PIE, at the slip road to Changi Airport at around 2.20pm on 24 Oct.
They rushed to the scene and conveyed the victim to Changi General Hospital.
MS News wishes the rider a smooth recovery.
Earlier this month, a lorry collided with a motorcycle in Jurong, killing the female pillion rider.
