All tickets from the UOB cardholders presale for Taylor Swift’s upcoming Singapore gigs have been snapped up.
Ticketmaster Singapore made the announcement on Facebook today (5 July) at around 3pm — three hours after the presale commenced.
They also reminded fans that only those who received a special access code may purchase tickets during the general on-sale this Friday (7 July).
The overwhelming demand for tickets to Swift’s The Eras Tour stop in Singapore next year led to a surge in signups for UOB cards.
This is because the bank’s cardholders would get first dibs on the presale, which kicked off at noon today (5 July).
Swifties from Singapore and beyond flooded the Ticketmaster website, with the queue number surging to over 1.3 million.
Fans had to put up with hours of watching the stick figure in the loading bar slowly amble across their screen.
Sadly, at around 3pm, those who were unable to score tickets were greeted by this disappointing notice:
At 3.01pm, Ticketmaster themselves confirmed the news, saying that the UOB cardmembers presale is indeed sold out.
Ticketmaster also stated that the general on-sale kicks off at 12pm on Friday (7 July).
They reminded fans that only those who received their access code from the pre-registration will be able to purchase tickets for the general on-sale.
Swift’s The Eras Tour is happening on from 2 to 4 March and from 7 to 9 March next year at the National Stadium.
If you’re planning to get tickets this Friday, we wish you all the best.
