Thanks to the easing of travel restrictions, more and more international celebrities have been paying our little red dot a visit.
One of the latest stars to grace our shores was Tiffany Young, a member of the iconic K-pop group Girls’ Generation.
The singer was in town for a Lancôme event on Wednesday (24 Aug), but it looks like a mini fan meeting already took place the day before.
According to a Twitter user, a Changi Airport staff member received an autographed Girls’ Generation album from Tiffany.
We guess some people are just Lucky Like That.
On Tuesday (23 Aug), Twitter user @StarsAboveMe_ posted two screenshots from another person’s Instagram Stories.
One of the photos shows Tiffany clearing customs at the JetQuay Commercially Important Persons (CIP) terminal with an entourage of staff and bodyguards surrounding her.
The CIP is an elite private terminal that allows passengers to enter and exit the airport without the public noticing. Celebrities and VIPs who want to avoid drawing attention at the usual arrival and departure halls tend to pass through this terminal.
That day, one lucky staff member at the CIP walked away with a very cool souvenir — a signed copy of Girls’ Generation’s latest album.
Fans of the group are understandably envious, especially since the item bears the signatures of all eight members.
The next day (24 Aug), fans eager to catch a glimpse of Tiffany started camping outside Mandarin Gallery hours before she even showed up for the Lancôme event that evening.
The wet weather certainly didn’t stop a huge crowd from gathering at the venue.
Close to 8pm, Tiffany arrived to screams, cheers, and countless cameras recording her every move.
But the star knew how to handle the attention like a pro, waving and smiling at her adoring fans.
Judging from her signature eye smile, we can tell that Tiffany was just as excited to see her supporters.
Travelling can be very tiring, so kudos to Tiffany for taking the time and effort to make someone’s day with a gift.
We’re sure fans here are looking forward to her next visit to our sunny shores.
And hopefully, the rest of Girls’ Generation will be with her.
